Passion for Helping Others

“I was a very active child growing up, whether playing football with the guys or softball with the girls. I loved being outside and being active. In January 1996, I had
the opportunity to go to work for Health Actions as a Physical Therapist Technician. The first two months, I told a coworker I would never be able to do this. But with patience and good on-the-job training, my life began in Physical Therapy. For the next 14 years, I was introduced to a variety of job tasks. I worked as a Technician in Physical Therapy and a Personal Trainer in the Wellness program. My passion was in Physical Therapy. It is the most gratifying experience of my life. In August 2008, I was accepted and attended Bishop State Community College’s PTA program. I graduated on August 9, 2009 with my degree. It was a hard road to travel for 12 months, but now I can do what I love best: Make people feel better.”

Degree: AAS PTA Bishop State Community College 2009

Compassionate Service

“I always tell people that you have to have compassion to work in this field of healthcare. I have that compassion for others. I was brought up in life with my mother’s philosophy: “ You must have compassion toward people who are sick or in pain and treat others the way that you would want to be treated.” I live by this philosophy ever day when treating patients. My goal is to be the best that I can be in all that I do in Life.”

Focus/Emphasis: Manual therapy, patient education, pain management, post surgical rehabilitation, Orthopaedic manual therapy.
